Exportspark partnered with the Association for Supply Chain Management Western Canada to present an informative and well received webinar on Canada’s internal trade barriers, a topic that has received a lot of attention in recent months.
The webinar presented the history of how these provincial regulations and mismatched regulatory systems came to being, what is being done and which sectors are the most affected by these trade restrictions.
The turnout was amazing and the audience, made up of mostly supply chain professionals, were very enthusiastic and full of questions and how they could learn more.
Canadian businesses are now faced with potentially challenging times in trade with the US. The time has come for Canada to step up and fix these interprovincial barriers to allow Canadians to sell into other provinces as an alternative to the US. Hopefully the various governments in each province will hear the message and act.
