Exportspark is proud to have built and delivered a Tariffs 101 course for the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM Western Canada) with their supply chain, procurement and logistics community and it was very well received, with over 35 participants and lots of excellent questions and feedback.

The webinar covered tariffs, how they are applied and the effects that HS codes and origin have on assessment, who pays the tariffs and how they are applied when importing into Canada. This course is now available as part of Exportspark’s set of international trade courses, capable of being modified to specific sectors and association branding.

Trade with the US will never be the same. We need to continue to assess and evaluate new trading partners and suppliers, focus on finding Canadian alternatives if possible and diversify not just for our companies, but for our country. Contact Exportspark today to determine how we can help with tariff concerns and market diversification!
